Christopher Schroers
Research Area: Video Processing
I am a Principal Research Scientist at DisneyResearch|Studios focusing on visual computing. More specifically, I am working on leveraging machine learning for image and video processing tasks such as super resolution, frame interpolation, and compression. Previously, my research targeted panoramic video processing for immersive VR experiences and 3D reconstruction for set scanning. Prior to joining Disney Research, I received a PhD degree in computer science from Saarland University, Germany supervised by Joachim Weickert. I also received a master’s degree in visual computing from Saarland University and a diploma in business and computer science from Nordakademie, Germany while working at Philips Medical Systems.
