Oliver Schneider uses a blend of design, engineering, and human-computer interaction to create engaging experiences in both the digital and physical worlds. At Disney Research he works with Dr. Ali Israr on the next generation of haptic experiences, such as physical vibrations connected to games, movies, and music. He is also working towards a PhD with Dr. Karon MacLean at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where he focuses on developing tools to support the burgeoning field of haptic design. Previously, he received his MSc in Computer Science in 2012 (supervised by Dr. MacLean), and his BSc Honours in Computer Science in 2010 from the University of Saskatchewan.
