Research Area: Video Processing

I am a Research Scientist at DisneyResearch|Studios in Zurich. My research interests are in visual computing, quality of experience, and compression/streaming of both traditional and immersive (360 videos, point clouds, meshs, etc.) media technologies. More specifically, I am working on leveraging machine learning for optimizing media processing and streaming pipelines. Before joining Disney, I was a postdoctoral researcher and EPFL (LTS4/Prof. Pascal Frossard) and ETH (CGL/Prof. Markus Gross). I also received a PhD and master’s degree in Informatics from Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-Rio), Brazil.
